Awards and Recognition

wpe16.jpg (2633 bytes) Arrow of Light - I earned the Arrow of Light as a youth member of Cub Pack 75 chartered to St. Anne's R.C. Church in Jersey City, New Jersey. At the time - 1957 - it actually represented the Webelos award but that has changed since with a restructuring of the Cub Scout ranks.
wpe17.jpg (2552 bytes) Religious Emblem - As a youth, I earned the Parvuli Dei and Ad Altari Dei Awards. These awards are presented by the Roman Catholic Church to a cub scout or boy scout who has completed a series of specific religious requirements.
wpe18.jpg (3023 bytes) Eagle Scout - I earned the rank of Eagle Scout in 1961, as a youth member of Explorer Post 75 chartered to St. Anne's R.C. Church in Jersey City, New Jersey. My advancement toward that rank took place in Boy Scout Troop 75 chartered to the same institution. After earning the Eagle Scout Award, I continued on and earned a Bronze and then a Gold Palm.
Tiger Cub Group Organizer Award- I served for two years as Tiger Cub Group Coach for Pack 305 chartered to St. Steven's R.C. Church in Kearny, New Jersey.
Webelos Den Leader Webelos Den Leader - I served for two years as Webelos Den Leader for Pack 305 chartered to St. Steven's R.C. Church in Kearny, New Jersey.
Scouter's Training Award Scouter's Training Award - I was presented with this award for serving as Committee Chairman of Explorer Post 911 chartered to the Hudson County Chapter of the American Red Cross during the 1980's.
wpe4.jpg (2465 bytes) Scouter's Key - Was actually earned as a Commissioner's Key during the three period in the 1980's that I served as Council Commissioner for the Hudson Hamilton Council headquartered in Jersey City, New Jersey.
wpe5.jpg (2487 bytes) Silver Beaver - I was awarded this on February 2, 1986 for my accumulated service as a volunteer and member of the Executive Board of the Hudson Hamilton Council.
wpe6.jpg (3044 bytes) James E. West Fellowship Award - was presented to me in recognition of my financial support for the Hudson Liberty Council Endowment Fund.
District Award of Merit - In 2000, I was presented with the District Award of Merit by the Hudson Liberty District of the Northern New Jersey Council for service to the district.
Vigil Honor - In 2002, Lenapehoking Lodge IX designated me as a Vigil Honor member.
