Apparently, butting my nose in helped because our Town Clerk provided me with a copy of the 1998-1999 Proposed Municipal Budget on Wednesday, July 8. Of course I was also asked why I had come in when I did. I guess that either nobody informed that office about the date the budget was supposed to be available, or someone got their dates confused. Once the Clerk's Office staff looked at the same Jersey Journal I had, they realized why I had shown up.
I'm currently reviewing this budget, and waiting for some additional documents that I have to write to the Mayor to receive. Once I get through the details, I'll be getting it up here for you to see. I may have to rethink making the whole thing available here on the site, because it's about three-quarters of an inch thick!
