You probably already know that Theresa DeLeon of Jersey City is running for the U.S. House of Representatives in the 13th Congressionsal District. Theresa is an amazing woman to say the least. She is the Chief Financial Officer of the Legal Aid Society in New York, as well as being a Law Student and a mother of nine! Obviously she's a woman who knows how to manage her time and get things done.

Theresa is holding a fundraiser this Friday night - September 25 - at Casino in the Park in Jersey City. I'll be giving a small speech at the event, and doing my best to get to know some more people around the County. Let's face it, this is still Hudson County and it's still New Jersey. That means it's still an awful lot of "who you know" to get things done. If I'm going to be an effective member of the Town Council, I'll need to know, and be known by, as many people as possible.
